Optional Updates For The Honda Fit Dallas Texas
Reader’s Question:
I was lucky enough to get a reservation for the 2009 Honda Fit here in Dallas, Texas. What are special attributes that this car has that makes it worth the purchase?

You indeed made a great choice in choosing the Honda Fit and lucky enough to own one. I’ve heard that this is scheduled to be out on sale this summer. I was able to run this Honda vehicle around Dallas, Texas for a test drive last week and I really had a great time with it. As compared to its predecessor, The Fit Sport gets larger, 16-inch wheels and an optional Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System features a 6.5-inch screen with voice recognition. All Fit Sport models come with a USB audio interface which is compatible with any generation iPods and other USB storage devices. It is also equipped with the vehicle stability assist (VSA) system, which includes active headrests available as an alternate option. The so-called rear Magic Seat has been improved so it can now be folded flat in one single movement, without removing the headrest even if the front seats are in their rearmost position. There are a few combination and options for seating positions to provide flexible storage needs. A new hidden storage bin below the driver’s side rear seat is secured out of sight for placing small items.
The 2009 Honda Fit is indeed a nice option. A piece of advise though, this great buy should come with a great insurance coverage. Try to read through this web page for best deals.
Dallas TX 2008 Honda Element
Reader’s Question:
How does the 2008 Honda Element run? What makes it worth buying?

The SC version is 20mm lower and a firmer suspension setup than the standard Element. Something you can instinctively see and feel. Driving on the freeways of Dallas TX, the steering has good on-center feel and tracked well, but needs a little more tweaking to give it better feel for non-freeway driving. As it stands, if feels a little numb compared to other cars I’ve driven. Flooring it at times seemed to awaken the torque steer demons from within as I wrestled with the steering wheel’s desire to turn. It’s a tall vehicle and I refrained from pushing the limits. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not going to tip over just rounding a turn at moderate speeds. Included are the normal electronic safety gizmos (Electronic Brake Distribution, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) along with Traction Control) that will keep you upright and help maintain control should vehicle dynamics turn south rapidly. Handling is flat when actively turning due to the front and rear sway bar in combination with the firm dampers, but feels like it wants to push out of the turn. Perhaps this is the nature of this boxy beast.
Dallas Honda Odyssey Dealer
Reader’s Question:
What makes the 2008 Honda Odyssey, the most practical and safest vehicle to buy especially for my kids?
Jeremie
Dallas, TX
The brakes work perfectly. Each and Every Odyssey is packaged with anti-lock brakes (ABS) and Vehicle Stability Assist, Honda’s electronic stability control system. This VSA system works together with the drive-by-wire accelerator and ABS which modulates the brakes while managing the accelerator and ignition. If the vehicle starts to lose grip on a tight turn on a wet and slippery surface, the system automatically slows the engine and gently applies brakes to help keep the vehicle from railing out of control. In a test on a soaking skid pad, we found the system works efficiently. It only works in emergency handling situations so it’s not distracting during normal spirited driving. It can be turned off, although we recommend not doing so.
We don’t have any criticism about noise while driving any of the Odyssey models. The Touring model and the EX-L benefit from extra high-tech noise-decreasing features. When the iVTEC engine with VCM is running on three cylinders there is an imbalance, though it is very common, which produce drumming sounds and vibrations. To reverse this, the engine is mounted on special active control engine that electronically adjust themselves to avoid or lessen engine vibrations. Booming sounds are reduced by an active noise control system which automatically sends an out-of-phase sound through the speaker system to eliminate engine noises; it also works when the engine is idling.
Cruising with the Odyssey along the freeways of Dallas had never been this smooth.
