Reader’s Question:

I’m looking at a new 2009 Honda Accord to use for myself in good old Texas. I’ll be turning over my old car to my wife who also needs a car. Can someone offer me some advice?

Matthew

Dallas, TX

Good day to you, Matthew! Gospel-truth, the Accord has always been on the strong side of Honda. Ever since the Accord models came out in the 1980s, it always got positive reviews from both critics and consumers alike. Honda’s tradition of marrying technology and design lives on in the 2009 Accord. What kind of Accord should you take home with you? Any one of the different trims should do well but what struck my heart as a winner is the EX-L.

How is the EX-L different? Well, since you said that you’d be driving this one for yourself, I thought that I’d recommend something that isn’t on the top of the price list but takes your comfort into mind. The EX-L comes with leather-trimmed seating, leather covered steering wheel and a leather covered shift knob (for the MT), just some things that you might appreciate. I don’t think you’d be disappointed as well with the response of its 2.4 Liter i-VTEC engine. The 190 horsepower will always be there to back you up whenever you need it. For your driving convenience, the 2009 Honda Accord EX-L comes with the Honda Satellite-linked navigation system with Voice recognition. You got the style and the power, with great directions to get you in and out of Texas.

Honda 2009 Element Dallas Texas

Reader’s Question:

What are the good points on the Honda Element? I honestly think that it’s quite a uniquely shaped vehicle. Would this vehicle be a great add to the roads of Texas?

Peter

Dallas, TX

Hey there, Peter! Of course, another odd-shaped car would not be a bad add on the streets of Texas. But let’s not bring a good thing down by harping on shape alone. The 2009 Honda Element has what it takes to back up its claim to being fun-inspired SUV. After reading up on how consumers reacted towards the Element, I’m even more convinced that Honda stumbled onto something with this unique design. Traditionally, I always saw an SUV as just a giant car that uses a truck chassis. But with how Honda approached the Element’s design, I think it hits something for the adventurous, fun-seeking market.

First thing that grabs you with the Honda Element is its size, it is not longer than most SUVs, it’s taller. Then further checking out the exterior, you see a unique clamshell rear door. Moving up to the side, even how the side doors open up is different from most cars. Taking these exterior aspects into consideration, one is led to believe that this car is built to carry personal gear like bikes, musical equipment, heck, even small furniture. Looking under the hood, does it have the heart of an SUV? If you’re into the usual “where’s the V6?” type of person, then you might be disappointed. You will find a 2.4 Liter i-VTEC engine under the hood that can give you a fair amount of horses, about 166 of them. For me, as a personal SUV/ hauler, I think that should be enough for you to play around with. Match that with the Real-Time 4WD which is common Honda technology and you get a fun SUV. I think it’s worth your time to drive this vehicle around Dallas.

Reader’s Question:

When is the most excellent time to get a vehicle from a Honda dealership in Dallas, Texas?

Daylene

Dallas, TX

That is a very good question Daylene. The most excellent occasion for you to purchase a vehicle from a Honda dealership in Dallas Texas falls over into two sections: either you want to go in a quiet period whereby the dealer does not have many cars available , or you would like to go when the dealerships have two many cars. In two portions of the year you be able to do this and get the best rates. The other one you already missed greatly, and the other one of them is only a few months away.

The two best periods to pay money for a car from a Honda dealership in Dallas Texas are during the summertime, and the other is during the winter holidays. From just about November to the very beginning of January, you will be able to find brilliant prices on end of the year final stock of the last years cars, as the dealerships get ready to bring in a new set for next year’s set of cars. In the summer, the enthusiasm for the recent new year’s cars has died down to some extent, so you are able to also take advantage of this situation

Reader’s Question:

A group of Honda dealerships in Dallas Texas are telling me that I have an option involving of getting a 0% financing on my car or instead a $3000 rebate. Which do you think I should get?

Christian

Dallas, TX

That is a great question Christian. To start with, if not you have by now visited to one of the Honda dealerships in Dallas Texas and maybe gotten your credit verified, you can not say for sure that you are going to get a hold of the zero percent financing, for the reason that it needs just about a perfect credit, and no more than about seven percent of soon-to-be buyers be able to get it.

If you do contain the alternative to make a decision between a zero percent financing and a three thousand dollar rebate from quite a few Honda dealerships in Dallas Texas, then I more or less always put forward you go with the rebate. No interest looks good; however in the end it does not in reality take any money off of the cost of the car, but just maintains the total you be indebted from increasing. Yet with interest, though, a three thousand dollar rebate can time and again save you as much as one to two thousand dollars on your car’s original selling retail price, whereas a zero percent financing will sell it to you for precisely that original cost. I hope I was able to help you.

Reader’s Question:

What makes the 2008 Honda Odyssey, the most practical and safest vehicle to buy especially for my kids?

Jeremie

Dallas, TX

The brakes work perfectly. Each and Every Odyssey is packaged with anti-lock brakes (ABS) and Vehicle Stability Assist, Honda’s electronic stability control system. This VSA system works together with the drive-by-wire accelerator and ABS which modulates the brakes while managing the accelerator and ignition. If the vehicle starts to lose grip on a tight turn on a wet and slippery surface, the system automatically slows the engine and gently applies brakes to help keep the vehicle from railing out of control. In a test on a soaking skid pad, we found the system works efficiently. It only works in emergency handling situations so it’s not distracting during normal spirited driving. It can be turned off, although we recommend not doing so.

We don’t have any criticism about noise while driving any of the Odyssey models. The Touring model and the EX-L benefit from extra high-tech noise-decreasing features. When the iVTEC engine with VCM is running on three cylinders there is an imbalance, though it is very common, which produce drumming sounds and vibrations. To reverse this, the engine is mounted on special active control engine that electronically adjust themselves to avoid or lessen engine vibrations. Booming sounds are reduced by an active noise control system which automatically sends an out-of-phase sound through the speaker system to eliminate engine noises; it also works when the engine is idling.
Cruising with the Odyssey along the freeways of Dallas had never been this smooth.

Reader’s Question:

I have a 2005 Honda CRV here in Dallas, Texas and it’s quite aging. What accessories would you recommended for this vehicle?

Pete

Dallas, TX

Speaking of this staunch 2005 Honda CRV model, since it was manufactured with stylish design, I suggest that you have to keep its cylindrical headlights, front grill and aero- dynamic bumper in good shape. If it has already been driven for quite a while, maintaining the exterior can still preserve the way it looked two or three years ago. You can install a new side sill and side protector to adorn its sides. Make the rear part enhanced with a combination light and rear bumper.

Getting a redesigned lamps, headlight and front bumpers, side sills and grilles and an alloy EX wheel can make your car much more like the latest models. If your car runs on an hydraulic pump type system, you can consider changing it into a Real Time 4WD mechanism, a new Special Edition trim level that includes heated leather steering wheel cover, seat and door mirrors. Try having the bumpers body colored bumpers, spare tire covers, door handles and side molding. You can drive around Dallas, Texas to check Honda spare parts dealers for cheap accessories to save a lot of money. After all of that redesigning, your CRV is now ready to hit the road with all the elegance. Above these all, one important car accessory may be reliable car insurance. 2009 Honda Ridgeline Dallas Texas

Reader’s Question:

I just saw a 2009 Ridgeline parked at my neighbor’s garage here in Texas. From the outside, it looked “WOW.” Care to share what else is in that truck?

Tony

Dallas, TX

Hey, hey, hey, Tony! Yes, the 2009 Ridgeline does look handsome on the outside. The tough-looking exterior gives you a hint that what’s under the hood is a monster hauler. Well, it is. I do suggest you try to schedule a road test or a test drive, so you can get to experience the vehicle. I bet a local Honda dealer in Texas can offer that to you.

Since you already know much about the exteriors and the styling of the Ridgeline, let’s talk about how this baby can move. Okay, first, how much load can it carry? In trunk or bed, it can carry about 1,500 lbs., which is true for all three trims (the RT, RTS & RTL). However, with proper towing equipment attached, the Ridgeline can haul up to 5,000 lbs. The Ridgeline can carry this much load with its 3.5 Liter 24-valve SOHC VTEC engine that generates almost 2,500 lb-ft of torque and 250 horsepower. It also doesn’t scrimp on space as it can comfortably seat 5 inside the cab. And for those concerned about safety, it even incorporates 3 side-curtain airbags to provide more-than-adequate protection even if the car tumbles. I guess those are the main features that I would check out if I decide to buy this vehicle.

Reader’s Question:

Though I like to satisfy my son’s desire to have a car here in Dallas, Texas, as much as possible I want to make sure that the Honda Civic HFP Concept that my brother recommended to me suits my son preferences. Could you let me know some features of the Honda Civic HFP Concept?

Daniel

Dallas, TX

I am sure your brother has very good reasons why he recommended to you the new Honda Civic HFP Concept for your son there in Dallas, Texas. And I think I share them with him because from the launching of the Honda Civic HFP Concept in the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Honda began to revolutionize automobiles again by debuting with this state-of-the-art model.

Honda Civic HFP Concept features a series of aero-tweaks including body kit with front fascia and ground effects, which transforms this Honda Civic into a driver-friendly car granting efficient four-wheel drive. Interestingly, you can even trace the roots of Honda Civic HFP Concept from stock concepts of Civic Si sedan.

Critics also commented the Civic HFP Concept’s new alloy wheels, which is considerably lighter than previous car’s alloy wheels and also has the hybrid-like aero covers. Civic HFP Concept has lower suspension to entirely draw the car nearer to the ground, which undeniably makes this car efficient in terms of performance and fuel consumption. The technology of lowering the suspension came from the Super Taikyu Series, a Japanese racing event where a Civic Type R. Honda proved that such modification had helped a lot.

Reader’s Question:

I have been driving around Dallas, Texas in a Toyota Camry for a couple of years now. Now, I am interested in getting a similar size car but from a different manufacturer. I am curious about the Honda Accord, care to offer some information?

Danny

Dallas, TX

Hi there, Danny! I would like to offer some of my opinions and advice for your next car before you start checking out the car dealerships in Dallas, Texas.

Okay, so you have been driving around Dallas in a Camry. Although Toyota has always carried a good reputation with its vehicles, I think you should also check out the Accord from Honda. Much to Honda’s credit, this Japanese car maker has always been ahead, in my opinion, when it comes to performance and mileage in the midsize car segment. So what is good with either a 2008 or 2009 Honda Accord over a Toyota Camry? The Honda Accord was redesigned and a new engine was thrown-in for a 2008 model year. Style-wise, the Accord in its current incarnation has a classier feel over the current Camry. In my observation, the Honda Accord is roomier compared to a Camry, and that translates to passenger comfort. You can also check out the “horses” at similar trims. For a standard 2.4 Liter 5-speed manual transmission model from both manufacturers, the Accord is rated at 177 hp over the Camry’s 158. With the power advantage, the Accord still maintains a very decent combined city and highway fuel-economy of 25 miles to a gallon. And of course, before I forget, the Honda Accord has always had a good history when it comes to resale value. I hope that was enough to make you take a second and longer look at a Honda Accord.

Happy driving, Danny.

Reader’s Question:

With the recent round of high gasoline prices, I don’t want to get caught unprepared anymore. I’ve already set my mind to visit car dealers here in Dallas, Texas. I’m all set to look for a car that combines the look and fuel economy into one neat set of wheels. Are there any good suggestions out there?

Arnold

Dallas, TX

Hello, Arnold! With the last bout of crazy gas prices, who would not be scared of it happening again? I myself plan on stretching my gas dollars, too. But hey, while we are at it, why not make a move with a much longer and better impact? I am setting my sights on acquiring a hybrid as my next car. So you better check out some hybrid models in any Dallas, Texas auto dealer.

Let me tell you about my choice, the Honda Civic Hybrid. First of all, I think it still looks like the original Honda Civic. I figured that if I’m going to save gas and save the planet, I might as well look good doing it. I originally thought of going for a Toyota Prius, but I thought it looked pretty funny. So there, we’ll get both style and fuel economy. I did some reading about the Honda Civic Hybrid and I’m already happy with their claim of 45 miles per gallon on the highway. Being realistic about it, I think the mile per gallon average (both city and highway) run for the car will turn out to be at around 37 to 38, still not a bad range. Is there a second reason, you ask? Yeah, the second’s same as the first reason, save the planet in something that still resembles a stylish car.

Happy Hybrid Hunting, Arnold.

I was lucky enough to get a reservation for the 2009 Honda Fit here in Dallas, Texas. What are special attributes that this car has that makes it worth the purchase?

Richard

Dallas, TX

You indeed made a great choice in choosing the Honda Fit and lucky enough to own one. I’ve heard that this is scheduled to be out on sale this summer. I was able to run this Honda vehicle around Dallas, Texas for a test drive last week and I really had a great time with it. As compared to its predecessor, The Fit Sport gets larger, 16-inch wheels and an optional Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System features a 6.5-inch screen with voice recognition. All Fit Sport models come with a USB audio interface which is compatible with any generation iPods and other USB storage devices. It is also equipped with the vehicle stability assist (VSA) system, which includes active headrests available as an alternate option. The so-called rear Magic Seat has been improved so it can now be folded flat in one single movement, without removing the headrest even if the front seats are in their rearmost position. There are a few combination and options for seating positions to provide flexible storage needs. A new hidden storage bin below the driver’s side rear seat is secured out of sight for placing small items.

The 2009 Honda Fit is indeed a nice option. A piece of advise though, this great buy should come with a great insurance coverage. Try to read through this web page for best deals.

Reader’s Question:

I am looking forward to grab the latest Edition of Honda Fit here in Dallas, Texas. Can you give me a quick rundown of its updates as compared to the older version?

Rob

Dallas, TX

I was able to do a test drive for the 2009 version of the Honda Fit and I used to drive one of the Honda Fit older versions as well. I just had this test drive for the 2009 model just about a month ago in the outskirts of Dallas, Texas. I noticed that the 2009 Honda Fit’s wheelbase is two inches longer than the preceding model. Its engine was also upgraded into a 1.5-liter VTEC four cylinder engine. One impressive achievement for the 2009 version is that with its features, it is expected to provide better fuel economy. Another major improvement for the Honda Fit is having better and flexible cargo carrying capacity. The tail gates are large, providing easy access to the luggage area. The rear Magic Seat has been improved so it can be folded flat in one movement. Although the Fit is a small car, it offers a full complement of safety features including full curtain side airbags, ABS and electronic brake distribution system.

Since this model would still be out on sale this summer, I suggest you visit your local Honda Dealer today to do a reservation as this model is expected to sell like hot pancakes. I also recommend that you also start hunting for a perfect insurance coverage should you own this car and the perfect place to look for one is through this website.
